Blog Post:

If you do not have the Creator God of the Holy Bible as your Blessed Hope, where do you, or where will you, find solace and peace when troubles come?

When illness, death, loneliness, betrayal, family troubles, financial difficulties or a host of other “crisis events” come, where will you turn?  Who will you cry out to? Who will answer your prayers?

There is really only one answer, but unfortunately for most the answer is man’s Creator, the Trinity God Biblical Scriptures reveal.  I say unfortunately because the majority of mankind do not truly believe there is a God and therefore will not seek Him. Man’s solution is the humanistic perusal of carnal knowledge rather than Spiritual knowledge; man will pray in a moment of need, but his prayer will not be answered because he does not have a believing faith in the Creator God.  Are your prayers being answered? If not, maybe God does not know you as a Born Again believer indwelled by the Holy Spirit.  Think about it!

Before you find yourself in a situation of hopelessness, why not consider the Creator God’s solution. His solution is found in His Son, Jesus. Follow my ponderings below to discover the real Jesus of Biblical Christianity, and while I’m at it I’ll tell you how to recognize (have knowledge of) the imitation Jesus of Islam.

I’ve often considered writing a “Seeker’s Guide to Biblical Christianity or Spiritual Christianity.” You might ask, “Why a “Seeker’s Guide,” and the answer in my mind is simple.  I prefer the “Idiot’s Guide to” connotation that you often see in those prominent self-help books, but I deem it inappropriate for the subject matter; many in today’s world would consider it idiotic to believe in a God or Supreme Being anyway, much less have a belief in Biblical or Spiritual Christianity. My desire is never to be offensive or to offend anyone; however, it is often the case because of my firm belief in the Son ship of Jesus, the Christ.

When I tell people I am a Biblical Christian, most begin to quickly move away because they believe they have encountered a radical, homophobic nut case. In fact, I have an acquaintance that claims I am the only “Biblical Christian” he has ever met.  He is a Darwinian and Episcopalian (no offense implied of Episcopalians) so I overlook the ignorance he is coming from or dwells in.

I understand the concern of those who have no belief in a Creator God because most are ignorant of the words written in the Bible, a book they have never read. Over the centuries, “Christians” in name only, professing but not possessing, have given Christianity a bad name in their distorted view of what it means to even being called Christian much less someone espousing to be a Biblical Christian.

In truth, the Bible—the word of God—provides all the answers if one would only have faith in the existence of God.  There is a caveat though.  The words of the Bible are not for one’s own interpretation, and therein lies the problem; mankind will seek to interpret the Bible in their humanistic ways rather than in spiritual ways if they are not indwelled by the Holy Spirit. Biblical Scriptures will be interpreted for you when you have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit—God’s comforter, guidance to wisdom and knowledge of all things and His pledge of assurance that you have inherited eternal life.

Today’s world is a complicated place but perhaps not any more or less so than it has been since the beginning of time. Survival in today’s and yesterday’s world not only requires / required mental and physical strength, but it also required, as it does in today’s world, being a member of a social group one might call a clan, tribe, gang or family. That membership may offer acceptance, security and even love, but there are no guarantees.  Everyone seeks acceptance, recognition and love.  Not all, however, find what they, from a humanly perspective, need.

I believe that man is a created being that has an inner—part of man’s genetic, DNA structure—need for his Creator. You can either accept or reject that this inner need exists.  But whatever you personally believe, when calamity occurs, and it will, all will pray for salvation, deliverance or help. All will make some statement of commitment:  “God, if you will only do so and so, I will promise to do so and so.” Anyone who claims they have not uttered this statement are not being truthful.  Of course, many never honor their commitment even if it is granted them.  Many refuse to accept this inner need because once they cried out for deliverance, but no deliverance was provided.   If you do not have a relationship and faith in the existence of God, why would God honor your prayer?

If you are seeking to find God—the, I AM That I AM, the Creator God of the Bible, and the one True God—, it is my prayer that you will consider the pathway Jesus taught as the only way to God and eternal life. That pathway is recorded in the Biblical Scriptures, the Holy Bible.  Although narrow, His pathway is indisputable and without equal. It is the only way, the Creator’s way, and not man’s way.

No one can come to Jesus unless God is calling him. If God is calling you, you will know it in your heart.  If you  feel His calling, allow your mind to consider the following steps:

  • Step 1: Confess that you are a sinner. You must recognize that you have a need for God because of your sinful nature. Regardless of how good you believe you are, you are outside the will of God’s precepts and commandments because of your human nature. You are crawling in the “gutter of life,” depressed, lonely, perhaps facing personal or family sickness or death and without hope of a better tomorrow or eternal life and your spirit recognizes that you need God.   God’s word to man is found in the Bible. His word tells us that “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
  • Step 2: Realize that “good deeds” will not save you. Because of your separation from God and your sinful human nature, a price for your redemption (to be made clean so that you can enter the presence of God) must be paid. On your own, you cannot earn your way to God by doing good deeds as many religions and doctrines written by man would have you believe. The only way for man to hear, talk and walk with God required that a perfect “sacrifice” be made.  Do not try to rationalize the concept of sacrifice for it is written, “My ways are not your ways, and your thoughts are not my thoughts.” God’s way requires a perfect atoning sacrifice. That sacrifice was His Son, Jesus Christ.  God’s word tells us that “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God…and that the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord,” Romans 6:23 and Romans 5:8.
  • Step 3: Repent of your sinful ways. To repent is to turn from your sinful life as seen by God, change direction and accept Jesus’ sacrificial death and resurrection. [To accept the resurrection as TRUTH by faith is paramount.  For, if Jesus was not raised from death on the third day, all man’s searching is for naught.  Without Jesus there is only birth and death and no eternal life.] God’s word tells us “that if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved.” Romans 10:9.
  • Step 4: Ask God to save you. Pray in your own words what you feel in your heart. You should confess your sins to God (name them if you wish), tell God that you will repent of your sins and become a new person, ask God for forgiveness, thank God for saving you, and have faith and trust that God has given you eternal life. God’s word tells us that “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved,” Romans 10:13.
  • Step 5: Through faith, wait on the Holy Spirit of God to indwell you. There is but one God, the Creator God that manifests Himself to man in three personages—God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit:
  • God the Father is the Creator of heaven and earth. He is Spirit and He is the, I AM that I AM. No one has ever seen God; however, He can be seen in His Son, Jesus.
  • God the Son is Jesus Christ who was born of the Virgin Mary. Mary was the surrogate mother who carried and gave birth to the perfect child—the atoning sacrifice for man’s redemption who was without man’s sinful human nature). Jesus is the physical manifestation that allowed man to know God in physical form.
  • God the Holy Spirit is God’s spiritual vehicle for indwelling man and imparting a new spiritual nature, if and only if man will relinquish his self-will that will lead him to obtaining eternal life.

All three personages together are called the Trinity, and they together are the Alpha and the Omega. When you have accepted God’s plan for receiving salvation and eternal life, the Holy Spirit of God will come into your life and dwell with you spiritually.  You will have to learn to hear His voice and follow His lead.  You will only be able to do this if you relinquish your self-will—seeking to lead your life by your own ability—and allowing the Holy Spirit to speak to you and impart His wisdom and knowledge for the newness of spiritual life.

The Holly Spirit’s indwelling is God’s promise to you of eternal life. You will become a changed person. God’s Holy Spirit may not be immediately discernible to you, but you must have faith and belief that He is working in your life.  You will come to hear His voice by praying to God (I call it twittering with God throughout the day), reading, meditating and memorizing Biblical Scripture passages.  You must learn to obey and trust.

To grow spiritually, you will want to become a member of a local Bible Church. The denomination is unimportant as long as it is a congregation that follows the teaching of Jesus Christ, believes and trusts in His Holy Word, and proclaims Jesus Christ as the only pathway to salvation and heaven.

Any other pathway is not Biblical and is a pathway to eternal damnation.  There may be other pathways and other gods, but the only pathway to God, heaven and the coming kingdom on earth that the Biblical Scriptures support is through Jesus Christ.  If you seek any other way, your way is not supported by Biblical (the Bible) Scriptures. You may go to a heaven of another god that is spoken of in another “religious or doctrine book” but it is not the heaven of Jesus Christ.

The Bible is the only “self-help” book anyone needs.  It contains the Living Truth—there is a Creator God—that man’s soul and spirit seeks. If you would like to know the I AM God, read on.

Are you able to believe there is a Creator God? If not, “Ask, and it will be given you: seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be open to you,” Matthew 7:7 NASB.  These words of Jesus, I believe, are for those who have faith to believe.  God will find you in the depths of your despair when you have exhausted your human abilities of living in your self-will and are willing to surrender your total being to Him.  With your surrender you will be Born Again in a spiritual rebirth and will become a new person in Christ.

God has always been in my life.  At an early age, around four or five, I was saved from physical death by the hand of God.  I have often asked, “Why me, Lord?”  The words you are reading come from my spiritual rebirth, and I am compelled to tell the story of Jesus and His Love.”  I believe this is what God destined me to do because He created me in my mother’s womb to be His servant.  I have often been unfaithful, but He was always faithful, and his mercy has always been gracefully bestowed upon me.

It must be acknowledged, however, that throughout history, since the day of Pentecost, as it relates to Christianity, many Christians have given God a bad name by acts of their human nature rather than by commands of the Holy Spirit.  Only a few who call upon the name of the Lord actually find True salvation.

Many Christians in days past and in the present have walked or are walking the broad path rather than the narrow path.  Biblical Christians are to walk the narrow path. Think about the path you are walking.

Biblical Christianity produces good fruit: “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.”  Why would anyone not want to have these attributes?  True Biblical Christians are not hate mongers who seek through violence, hatred, phobias, or any number of labels to kill or harm a non-believer in any physical or mental way.

A Biblical Christian believes the words of God were God Breathed.  They were inspired by God, they are inerrant.

Comments regarding the Jesus of Islam for the curious:

Do you ever read the review or comment sections in news media or on internet business and blog sites?  I occasionally peruse them on matters of interests to me, but not seriously seeking to gain knowledge.  You will always find bad reviews or comments by a few when the majority reports are excellent.  It is just a fact of life that “man’s mental understandings (a glass of water can be view as half-full vs. half-empty)” follow distribution curves with low and high extremes (outliers) and a broad spectrum spread between the two ends.

Religions and faiths all have distributions of followers that follow a distribution curve.  Thus, Judaism, Christianity and Islam are not exempt from the extremes.  A follower of any religious faith has to be taught the true doctrines of his faith.  “But what is truth,” Pilate once asked Jesus.

I have been writing about the Biblical Jesus.  But, there is also an Islamic Jesus (Isa Al-Maseeh) spoken of in the Koran.  If you are of the Muslim faith, Jesus is considered a prophet of Allah but is not the son of Allah as Allah does not have children.

Understanding who the real Jesus is, is important. Do you understand or know the difference? Let me try to explain by giving you a brief history.

Let’s begin with the man known as Abraham (Abram before God changed his name) for he is the father of Judaism and Islam. There is no dispute regarding this ancestral heritage of these faiths.

God told Abraham to leave his homeland of Ur, located in Iraq, and travel to a land called Canaan. In “Canaan Land” he and his family would become a great and numerous people.  Covenant relationships would be made and God would keep His word, but Abraham and his descendants would not. Today, a portion of that “land grant” is occupied by Israel; a family conflict that began thousands of years ago still exists.

Abraham was married to Sarah (formerly known as Sarai before God changed her name.)  Sarah was barren.  To have a child, Sarah allowed Abraham to have a child with her Egyptian maid, Hagar.  The child born to this union was named Ishmael.  Troubled brewed between Sarah and Hagar because Sarah was still barren and Hagar had a son.

Abraham loved Ishmael and desired for him to be the covenant child because he was the older child. However, God had other plans.   He opened Sarah’s womb, and she gave birth to a son who was called Isaac, and he would inherit the covenant promise. Through Abraham and Sarah, Isaac and Rebekah, and Jacob and Rachael the covenant blessings were established.

Through the line of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob the Hebrew nation was formed (Jacob’s name was changed to Israel) and Jesus is a descendant through this lineage.  Jesus was miraculously formed in Mary’s womb and is the God-Man. Mary was a surrogate mother, and by Jesus’ shed blood and resurrection Christianity had its beginning.

Isaac’s brother, Ishmael, and his descendants also became a great people and came to occupy the Arabian Peninsula.  You can read the Biblical account of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob’s calling and journey in the book of Genesis if you have an interest in learning more.

Continuing our story with the descendant of Ishmael, Muhammad was born in AD570 and in him the roots of Islam and the worship of Allah had its beginning.  Muhammad was given the words of the Qur’an and from his life and other literature documenting his life and teachings the basis for Islam was formed. Islam’s rejection of the Bible—the book and its people— is based upon their belief that it has been distorted and does not contain the whole truth.

While the Jews await their Messiah, Christians await the return of Jesus, Muslims await the return of the Mahdi. When the Mahdi—the final Caliphate of Islam—returns, the Islamic Jesus will also appear and will declare what was written about him in the Bible to be a distortion of the truth. All Muslims will be required and obligated to follow the Mahdi. The Mahdi is the Vice-regent (Khalifa) of Allah. The real truth about Jesus according to Islamic literature (You should do your own research into the eschatology of Islam to understand and differentiate the various sects and their end time beliefs.) is briefly summarized as follows:

  • Jesus is not God’s son and was not god in the flesh. Allah did not have a son.
  • Jesus did not die on a cross for the sins of man. Allah delivered Jesus from death.
  • Jesus was merely a prophet. When he returns he will return as a Muslim and follow Shari law.
  • Jesus will refer to the Mahdi as greater than he.
  • Jesus will remove all crosses, and will kill all Jews, Christians and all who will not follow Allah.
  • Jesus will return to earth, marry and have children and then die. He will be buried next to Muhammad. Muhammad was Allah’s messenger and is viewed as the perfect example for all to follow.

Islam like Christianity has varying doctrines and understandings regarding a supreme being.  Just as there are peaceful Muslims and Christians, there are also Jihadist / radical “Christians” and a spectrum of believers within each group.  Take ISIS for instance; ISIS has declared a caliphate and is living out the commandments of Muhammad.  To those whose faith is in Biblical Christianity, their ways are barbaric, sadistic, torturous and without mercy.  However, the ISIS way is the truth of Mohammad’s Islam.

It is my belief that Biblical Christianity is the Truth.  There is no radicalism, savagery, brutality to be found in the words of the Biblical Jesus.  There is to be found a new spiritual rebirth that changes lives, gives freedom and liberty, and guarantees eternal life.  Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior and He can be yours if you will accept Him in faith and belief.

Those are my comments for today.  What about you?

The Bible is the only “self-help” book man needs for life’s journey.

The Bible is the only “self-help” book man needs for life’s journey.

“Man without God will only continually seek to increase in wickedness and in the intent to do evil in the thoughts of his heart,” Genesis 5:6.

The Bible is the only “self-help” book man needs for life’s journey.  Within the pages of the Bible, from Genesis, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth,” to Revelation, “The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all,” can be found the Truth and Words of Life.

The casual or unbelieving reader cannot understand the inspired revelations presented in the Bible.  Why? Man’s unbelieving heart is dead to the spiritual realm of God.  Only with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit will God’s plan be revealed to those who have become His Sons and Daughters.  Man was created in the image of God—body, soul and spirit—and given self-will in determination to believe or disbelieve.

Man without God will only continually seek to increase in wickedness and in the intent to do evil in the thoughts of his heart, Genesis:5-6.  Thousands of years ago, man became so wicked that God grieved in His heart that He had given man self-determination. Today, as in the past, man has once again decided upon self-determination and to take it upon themselves to do “what is right in man’s eyes” rather than obey the Creator God.

God in His mercy provided a way for man to live in righteousness—in the light—rather than in unrighteousness—in the dark.  By placing his faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, man’s human nature can be controlled. Man can be born again with a righteous spiritual nature by the Indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Man’s old nature does not simply go away, but it is buried under his new nature.  Man’s new spiritual nature becomes man’s dominate nature by replacing man’s old nature.  Man’s physical health resulting from bad habits, however, will remain unchanged.

Think about it this way.  Man’s years of smoking, drinking, gluttony, lust of the flesh and other acts of the humanistic nature (the natural, unregenerate man’s human desires), will not change with his new birth unless and until man’s human nature is replaced by the indwelling Holy Spirit.  What will change are the old “habits.”  If you smoke you can quit, if you are an alcoholic or drug addict, you can quit.  However, years of self-abuse cannot be changed and your diseases—cancers, cirrhosis, sexual transmitted diseases, cannot be undone.  STOP!  I do believe God is a miracle worker and any condition of the body can be reversed through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit.

If you want to experience the New Birth you are going to have to cry out to God for help.  Your mental state will be such that you no longer have the desire to live as you are.  I call it crawling in the gutter of life.  At this point God will make His presence known.  If you will ask God for forgiveness and repent of your old ways and ask God to live in your heart, He will. Physical life will not become easier in itself, but your New Birth will give you a change in attitude and your new spiritual life will be made fruitful.

Man’s salvation cannot be found in keeping the law and doing good deeds and works.  Man’s salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone, God’s Son, who was the sacrificial lamb for all mankind who would believe. It, salvation, is a free gift to man obtained only by the mercy shown by God to those who have accepted the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ.  In Jesus Christ there is newness of life—a spiritual rebirth—that truly gives life.  Few have found this newness of life because of unbelief.

The true followers of Jesus—His Church—cannot be taken by the forces of darkness.  Their testimony gives light and hope to those lost in the darkness.

America has drifted into the darkness.  Although many cry out to God for another “Great Awakening,” I do not believe the people of America are ready to repent of their evil ways and thus a great awaking will not come. They will not repent because there is no thought that any wrong is being committed.

Cohabitation, abortion and deviant sexual immorality have become man’s new gods.  They are not new.  The lifestyle in which man seeks to find freedom are the old ways that were practice over 3000 years ago. Death will come to America and her people because the Creator God and His Words (the Bible) have been neglected and discarded.

The way of Caesar—let the reader understand—is a proven way of death to all nations that violate the “morality laws” of the Creator so beautifully summarize in His Big Ten. Again, let the reader understand.

Let me close with this warning: The time has come for the persecutions to begin for those living in America who claim—profess and possess—Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  But, be at peace for it is written, “Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me,” Matthew 5:11 NIV.

Last year’s Supreme Court ruling by the “five Justices” against traditional marriage—one man and one woman—inspired President Obama to light up the White House with the “rainbow colors of the gay movement.” But, as Jesus said, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s, Matthew 22:21.  God ordained covenant marriage as one man and one woman, but man has chosen Caesar’s way. It is in the Book, look it up if you are doubtful.

Man, however, has chosen to deny God in their humanistic belief that “There is no God” and thus the Bible, the only self-help book required for righteous living is rejected. Caesar reigns in America, and the American Christians remain silent!

That is my thought for today, what is yours?

Biblical Christian: Will you testify or will you deny the Faith?

Biblical Christian, will you testify or will you deny the Faith?

Consider if you will, my pondering thoughts on the current generation of people who call themselves Christians.  I would like, from my perspective, to make a distinction between “Cultural Christians” and Biblical Christians as follows:

  •  A Cultural Christian is someone who claims to believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Scriptures of the Holy Bible but does not possess Jesus Christ in his / her heart, does not totally believe in the Truth of the Scriptures, and does not possess the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. They, like the Pharisees and Sadducees of Jesus’ time, have the outward appearance of a religious people but inwardly still live in their natural flesh of worldliness. Cultural Christians represent upwards of 70-90% of today’s Christian Church membership.
  • Biblical Christians have truly accepted the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ and have allowed the Holy Spirit of God to indwell then. They believe in the inerrant and infallibility of the Bible—both the Old Testament and the New Testament (Man lived under Law in the Old Testament.  Man lives under Grace in the New Testament). They truly have found the salvation and forgiveness of sin Jesus provide them through His shed blood on the cross. They found God’s mercy and by faith live for God.

Where do you stand?  My recent blogs have been harsh and critical of the Biblical Christians who are sitting on the sidelines and who will not step outside their comfortable religious lives to speak out and stand up for what they truly believe.  I also have been critical of those who call themselves Christians but have compromised with the ungodly and have denied the faith.  Today I will once again try to gather my thoughts and write about the need and time to share the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ by those who claim Him.  Here we go.

How long will Biblical Christians remain quiet and allow a godless society to continue their campaigns of belittlement, intimidation and marginalizing assaults on them and their religion, beliefs and moral values?  Tell me Biblical Christian, what will it take for you to stand up and speak out? Do you want your children and grandchildren to grow up in a godless and immoral society? Are you one of those who are concerned about themselves more than they are concerned for others, including their family members?

Yes, Biblical Christians have a moral code from their Bible—a Bible they believe was divinely inspired.  Biblical Christians do not hate those who have beliefs different from theirs; however, they do not sanction sins that were declared by God to be abominations. All people are sinners and all sinners are loved.  Sin can be forgiven, but the forgiven sinner cannot remain in their sin once they have been forgiven.

The God of the Bible, the Bible in its totality, not a Bible of “truth and half-truth” that changes with the whims and traditions of man and his concepts of truth, is unchangeable and unalterable in its God ordained commandments and covenants. For a religious denomination to allow and sanction abominations declared sin in Biblical Scriptures and to call them noble and to adopt them as new “traditions” of its church’s doctrinal theology is Satanically inspired heresy.  Do you attend one of these apostate churches defined in the Biblical Scriptures, see the book of Revelation?  If so, just walk.  Find a fellowship of believers who believe as you do.

What more can or needs to be said.  You either believe in the Trinity—God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit—or you do not. Biblical Christians must testify of the Grace found in Jesus Christ. If Biblical Christians will not testify, they may be found “lacking,” in my opinion, at the Judgment Seat of Christ.  Are you willing to testify?

If you are truly a Biblical Christian or have just become one, please register and make a comment.  Your name will never be compromised nor will I forward or send you any correspondence unless you specifically ask. Also, please find a way to share the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are living in a world of satanic immorality, and we need to tell those who have never heard the Good News the Truth.  Will you join me?

Those are my thoughts for today, what are yours?
