If there is no God as most now believe, what difference will it make as to how one treats his fellow man? Without God, animalistic survival of the fittest will dominate the societies of the future.  Visit,www.spirit.theindwelling.org, for additional insight.

Pondering Thoughts:

If you do not believe in the Creator God of Biblical Christianity, there is no reason not to live as you please as there is no eternal life after death that awaits you.  To live as you please in the now will allow your mind (and thus your animalistic, humanistic nature) to satisfy your every whim and desire.  While what you have just read is how many of today’s Americans are trying to live, it is only a “falling back” to the pagan days of old, and anyone with discernment knows how those days ended.

There is a moral code taken from selected biblical text (Judeo-Christian beliefs) that many choose to follow; however, humanistic pleasures—drug use, alcohol use, pornography, sexual deviances, lying, cheating, greed, lust, envy, jealousy and the like—will come to dominate and control those who have no belief in God and even to those who once believed in a higher power.

The American people’s transition at all levels of society and government from the 1950’s to today, 2015, reveals how quickly the removal of the God of America’s founders (the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; the I AM that I AM Creator God of the biblical text—The BIBLE) has led to the spiraling death toll that now grips America.  If you do not believe that America is in decline, bury your head back in the sand.  That is to say, continue to believe in the lies being spoken by the progressive, secular left, humanistic supporters and leaders of the political party platform (I believe that’s the Democratic Party) that promotes baby killing, sexual immorality and slavery to government programs for all who desire a BIG government with a “Pig Trough” from which the masses can feed.

Story Line:  If there is a God and life after death, how does one obtain that life?

There is a story in the Bible of a “Rich Young Ruler” (sectional heading in Matthew 19:16-26) in which Jesus tells how a person can obtain eternal life. Jesus is the Son of God to all Biblical Christians and to enter into His Kingdom His way of entry is specific and must be followed.  To all others, Jesus was just a prophet, a good person or simply a good “snake oil salesman.”  A non-Biblical Christian would have to follow the pathway to their heaven as specified in their doctrines.

I point this out because over the centuries, cultural and apostate Christians have given Jesus a bad name.  Jesus preached a gospel of love toward His fellow man.  Not a gospel of hatred.  A belief in the Trinity of God—God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit—transforms lives.  No other religious belief can transform lives, forgive sins, and provides for the healing of body, soul and spirit. You can find more in-depth study at: www.theindwelling.com.

Now, let’s get back to the story. In this story, Jesus was asked, “Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may obtain eternal life,” Today, more than 2000 years since this question was asked of Jesus, the same “mindset” remains.  That is, “How many good deeds will I have to perform over my lifetime in order to gain eternal life / enter heaven?”

The man in the story called the Rich Young Ruler acknowledged to Jesus that he had kept all the commandments that Jesus listed as the answer to his question.  Those being: “Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother, and love your neighbor as yourself.” Jesus’ response was to sell all his possessions and give the proceeds to the poor.  Then, “Come, Follow Me.”

Apparently, the Young Ruler had many riches and possessions so he left Jesus, “going away grieving.”  Jesus’ words to his disciples were: “I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle (a portico entrance through the city wall or perhaps a real needle) than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. Hearing this the disciples asked, “Who then can be saved?”  Jesus’ response was, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Application of Story:

Let’s ask some questions of ourselves.  “What actions are being taken on our part to obtain eternal life? Did we accept the Gospel Message?  Does the Holy Spirit of God live in us? Do we do more good deeds than bad deeds? Do we attend church on a regular basis? Do we go to confession?  Do we refrain from cussing, drinking, smoking, doing drugs, committing immorality or adultery? Do we love our neighbor?  The list could go on and on and each one of us could possibly produce a list of things we believe God wants us to do in order to obtain eternal life.

The biblical answer, however, is quite simple.  Salvation and entry into the kingdom of heaven is through God’s Grace and His Grace alone. There is nothing you can do in your own power to remove the guilt or remorse you feel from past, present or future sins committed against God or your fellow man; “…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:23. Jesus paid the price on the cross for your sins—he suffered, died and rose from death to redeem you.  You only have to accept His Grace.

In the story Jesus told the Young Ruler to sell all that he had, give it to the poor and to follow Him.  I believe Jesus was telling the Young Ruler of His time and to us today that we must place Him (Jesus) above all our possessions.  Our lives are in His hands and no quantity of materialistic possessions are to become more important than Jesus.

Have you or will you make Jesus your Lord and Savior and number one in your life. Lives are changed for the better every day by those who follow Him and Him alone.

Walking in the Spirit of Brotherly Love

Walking in the Spirit of Brotherly Love

“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live but Jesus Christ lives in me.  The life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave His life for me,” Galatians 2:20.

To become a son of the living God through Jesus Christ and to walk in the Spirit is unfathomable to the human nature of worldly men (men and women) —those who refuse to believe in the Trinity of God (God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit) —revealed in the Bible, the Word of God.

If there is no belief in the Word of God, mankind could consider creation and all the “visible and invisible qualities” of life itself. Only a fool would believe that life as we know it began in a cesspool of muck eons ago. For a more rational and scientific explanation of God’s creative acts versus the evolutionary theories of Charles Darwin, visit www.creation.com.

Those who have tasted the living water, “…whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst,” John 4:13, truly will never thirst.  They will gladly lay down their life as witness to their newness of life (born again life) and as partakers of the fruits of the Spirit—the Spirit instilled in them with their acceptance of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and with their crucifixion of their self-will.

Those who walk in the Spirit become Temples of God: “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God,” 1 Corinthians 7:19.  Also consider these words, “…You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in US, so that the world may believe that you sent me,” John17:21. On earth Holy Spirit filled believers are the body of Christ, the Church.  At the Rapture they become the Bride of Christ in His heavenly glory and will return with Him at His Second Coming. As the Body of Christ they are to administer to one another in brotherly love, and they are to do His will as the Spirit calls.

We all share the scares of life in the inner most parts of our souls.  The loneliness, hurts, regrets of life lived in the human nature are many and varied. Thus, In the flesh we have natural physical attractions and emotional human attachments: love, grief, pain, happiness and etc.  But, they are never satisfying.

When you walk in the Spirit of the born again life you will meet others who, like your, are indwelled by the Holy Spirit. You will meet them on “higher ground” in the new spiritual nature and not in the human nature that is prone to sin. To live in the Spirit within the body of Christ—His Church—with brothers and sisters in Christ is indescribable and addictive.  When you experience His Joy you are able to share your testimony of life, be nourished by likeminded believers and truly be equipped to minister to the elect and to unashamedly share the life changing Gospel Message of Jesus to those who come into your pathway.

There are many, so many, that remain lost in the “Cathedrals” of man-made buildings excluded from true worship by the blindness and bindings of cultural Christianity. If they could only accept the Truths, repent, and by faith believe in the Son of God, who is Jesus, life would be different and earth could become a more peaceful place as we wait upon the Lord’s Second Return.

May you in this Christmas Holiday Season give thanks to the Creator and sustainer of life.  Jesus gave His life for you.  Accept His Mercy and Grace and chose to live in the newness of life in the born again Spirit. Answer His call. You will never regret your decision.

Those are my thoughts for the day, what are yours?

A new beginning for the spirit.theindwelling.org

Hello, my friends.

The “spirit.theindwelling.org” blog site is back online.  Nothing should have changed; however, all—as in everything—went away around the first of December.  I have only myself to blame.  Against my better judgment I trusted in a marketing sales pitch. Since I thought I was doing a simple upgrade I failed to verify, with technical support, “the actual upgrade process”. Trying to migrate from one web design package to a “newer and better” design from the same provider proved to be an “Obamacare experience.”

But, all is OK.  I have the companion web site back on line.  You can find it at: www.theindwelling.com  or www.theindwelling.org. It is not “newer or better,” but it works and that is all that is important. It is still in the construction / repair stage so be aware. The old blogs are no longer accessible on-line.  I do have a backup of all my blogs, but they are no longer available as file achieves.

I am encouraged that so many registered users are re-registering before I have made my first post. Yes, I also lost my registered user file (I have a hard copy) as part of the upgrade process.  My promise to my registered users remains the same: I will not contact or make available my user email addresses or names to anyone no matter what the reason or purpose. Why? I have many users in locations where Christianity is not tolerated or permitted, and I would never put anyone at risk to persecution.  However, I will answer emails that request a response, but I will not reveal the confidentiality of any correspondence.

Jesus said, “…I am the light of the world.  He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life,” John 8:12 NKJV. It is my prayer that you are walking in the light.

Let me hear from you.
